We were honoured to be part of the construction of Riyadh King Khaled International airport, one of the biggest airports in the world

2. Sample project

UMI is proud to have contributed to some landmark Saudi projects and envisages to build on its past successes in order to deliver on its promise to exceed its partners’ expectations. One of the most notable construction feats UMI has participated in was the Riyadh King Khaled International Airport.

Riyadh King Khaled International Airport
Once the largest airport in the world, Riyadh King Khaled International Airport is 35 miles outside Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Riyadh. The airport consists of 4 passenger terminals with eight aero-bridges each, car parking for 11,600 vehicles, a central control tower (one of the world's tallest), and two parallel runways, which are each 4,260 meters (13,980 ft.) long. The land area allocated for this airport is also among the largest in the world. The airport occupies an area of 315 square kilometers (78,000 acres).

In 2013 the airport served 161 thousand flights, 19 million passengers and 450 thousand tons of cargo.
